Follow these steps to access your TP-Link router’s admin settings:
Secure your TP-Link network by updating your Wi-Fi password. Here’s the process:
After changing the Wi-Fi password, all devices will disconnect and must reconnect using the new password.
To stop unauthorized access to your router settings, it’s wise to update the admin password:
Log in to your TP-Link router interface.
Go to System Tools > Password or Advanced > System Tools > Administration, depending on the model.
Enter your old password, then type your new password twice for confirmation.
To secure your new settings, click Save or Apply at the bottom of the page.
This password controls access to the router dashboard — not the Wi-Fi network itself.
If you’ve lost access to your admin panel, reset your router to factory settings:
Find the Reset button (back of the router)
With a pointed object (such as a paperclip), press and hold the reset button for 10 seconds.
Wait for the router to reboot. The LED lights will blink during the reset process.
Done resetting? You can now log in with the default login: admin for both fields.
