How to login to Spectrum Router?

To get started, follow these simple steps:

Before proceeding, connect your phone or computer to your Spectrum network.
Open any browser
In the address bar, type: http://192.168.0.1 and press Enter.
When the login screen appears, enter the default credentials: Username: admin Password: password
Hit Login, and you’ll be taken to your Spectrum router’s admin dashboard.

How to Change Spectrum Wi-Fi Network Name (SSID) & Password

For security and easier identification, it’s recommended to update your default Wi-Fi name and password

Log into your Spectrum router by following the login instructions above.
From the dashboard, select Advanced Settings at the top.
Under Connectivity, select your current Wi-Fi band: 2.4 GHz 5 GHz (if using dual-band)
Click on the Basic tab.
Locate the SSID field and type in your desired network name.
For password changes, go to the Security Settings tab and enter a strong new password.
Click Apply to save the changes.

Don’t worry if your router restarts—it’s normal. Just reconnect your devices using your new Wi-Fi details afterward.

Forgot Your Spectrum Login Info?

If you can’t access your Spectrum router due to forgotten credentials:

Find the default login credentials on the sticker located underneath or on the back of your router.

till locked out? Perform a factory reset: Locate Reset button on the back of the router.

Insert a paperclip into the reset hole and hold it down for 10 to 15 seconds.

When the router finishes rebooting, use the default credentials (usually admin/admin) to log in.

This password controls access to the router dashboard — not the Wi-Fi network itself.

Ensure your device is on the Spectrum Wi-Fi network. If the login page isn’t loading, troubleshoot with these steps:
